CANDIDATE STATEMENTS DUE: If you’re a candidate to become an SFVBC Officer in December’s election statements will be posted online December 4, 2024. There is a vacancy for VP – Development, but all offices are up for election. See section at bottom of this page for statements.
The election will be held on December 11, 2024 at the Holiday Party. Candidates must submit a campaign statement by December 4, 2024 to be published on the club’s website. http://SFVBC.org. Please note that you do not have to attend the holiday party to vote. You are welcome to stop by and drop off a vote for your favorite candidate or e-mail ridedirector@sfvbc.org .
The Bylaws read:
Only candidates for contested offices may submit a campaign statement, not to exceed 150 words, for publication on the Club Website, along with the ballot. The 150 words shall include the name of the candidate, the Board position sought, the length of the candidate’s Club membership, and the primary goals which will be pursued by the candidate. This statement shall not include reference to or support of any other candidate and shall be the sole campaign statement by such candidate regarding the election. The Club may, in its sole discretion, refuse to publish any statements the Club determines contain inappropriate, defamatory, or derogatory information.

2024 Candidate Statements
Bill Bowden – Secretary
I am Bill Bowden, many of you know me. I’ve been a club member since August of 2020. I‘ve been riding with the club and various renegade rides every weekend since then. I even met my current partner through the club. I’m looking forward to helping others get the same out of the club as I have as contributing to a future with new ideas as a board member.
